Statement from the City of Ely Council
The City of Ely Council has received a formal offer from East Cambridgeshire District Council with regard to the potential sale of the Maltings, the Maltings Cottage and Oliver Cromwell’s House to the City of Ely Council for £1 each. This offer will be carefully considered by councillors at the Full Council meeting on the 7th April.
The Council already leases these three buildings from East Cambridgeshire District Council, which at the time of this Council taking them over, ensured the continued provision of these services, for both the local community and visitors to the city.
