Ely’s Floral Displays

The City of Ely Council is responsible for some of the City’s floral displays such as the hanging baskets, the tiered planters and the Welcome to Ely signs planting.

At present, the beautiful displays are planted, maintained and watered by a local contractor – you may have spotted them at 5.00am watering the hanging baskets!  It’s an onerous task keeping all the planters and baskets watered during the summer months and their hard work is much appreciated.

Ely in Bloom Annual Competition

Due to a few changes at the Council, the annual Ely in Bloom floral competition will not be taking place this year but will be re-launched for the summer of 2020 by the Tourism and Town Centre Committee.
