Pip Gardner

Pip Gardner joined the Council in 2023 as one of the representatives for the Ely West ward. Pip represents the Council as a trustee of Ely Museum.

Outside of the Council, Pip is the Chief Executive of the Kite Trust – an LGBTQ+ youth organisation based in Ely and covering all of Cambriddgeshire & Peterborough. They are also a board member for Transgender Europe.

Pip grew up in Peterborough and moved to Ely in 2020, rediscovering family roots – their Great Grandfather, Jim Robertson, was a teacher at the Needham’s School (and later Ely College) from the 1930’s until the 1970’s. Pip enjoys learning to grow food on their allotment, swimming at the Hive and is a member of Ely Archers.
