Laura joined the City of Ely Council as a representative for the East ward in 2023. Laura has been an Ely resident since 2018 and lived in Cambridgeshire since 2004. She lives in Ely with her husband and young daughter. She serves on the Community Infrastructure Level (CIL), Assets, and Climate & Environment committees. She is a member of the Climate Action Working Group.
She is a member of Ely Wildspace and helps to run school visits once a year for local school children to learn about and enjoy nature in Ely. Her career has been working for a charity in international conservation focusing on agriculture. She now works for a consultancy advising on biodiversity for the finance and corporate sectors.
