Re-opening of Play Areas
The City of Ely Council is happy to announce that all of the play areas are now open. However, to ensure the safety and enjoyment for all, we are asking all parents to heed the advice below.
New Mayor in Ely
At the virtual Annual Council Meeting held on the 13th July 2020, Cllr Sue Austen was installed as the Mayor of the City of Ely and Chairman of the Council. Her Consort is Cllr Alan Arnold. Cllr Richard Morgan was elected as Deputy Mayor and his wife, Mrs Jane Morgan as the Deputy Mayoress.
Historical Research Volunteers Needed
The British Horse Society is undertaking work to record legal rights and to preserve and reinstate historical routes. They are currently looking to recruit historical research volunteers in the Eastern region.
Foster Carers Needed
Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council have launched a video highlighting the need for foster carers to look after vulnerable children in care.
