East Ward

Elisabeth Every
Lis became a Councillor on the City of Ely Council over eight years ago and is currently serving her third term on the Council. She was Mayor and Chair of the City Council for two terms from 2014-2016.

Kevin Wilkins
Kevin has lived in Cambridgeshire for over 30 years and in Ely for the last seven. By coincidence, he grew up a few miles from the other Ely (in Cardiff) and then the other Cambridge (Glos).

West Ward

Sue Austen
Sue Austen was elected onto the Council in May 2015 and represents the West Ward. She was elected as Mayor and Chairman of the Council for 2020/2021.

Arnie Arnold
Cllr Arnold has lived in the local area all of his life, moving to Ely 18 years ago.

Christine Whelan
Christine has lived in the district since 2000 when she moved here with her partner shortly before their daughter was born. Christine was elected to the Council in May 2015.

Dian Warman
Dian has lived in Ely since 2003 and was first elected to the Council in 2015. She is passionate that local residents should be listened to and about the improvement of local transport.

Rebecca Denness
Rebecca was elected as a Labour Councillor to the City of Ely Council for the first time in 2019.

Christopher Phillips
Chris Phillips joined the Council in 2013 and in May 2019 was elected as one of the representatives for Ely West ward.
North Ward

Richard Morgan
Richard Morgan was elected to the City of Ely Council for the North Ward in the 2019 local elections.

Sarah Bellow
Sarah was elected as Councillor for Ely North at the 2019 elections. She has lived in Prickwillow for many years where her family farmed for generations. She works in community development for a Cambridgeshire based charity, is a member of Prickwillow Village Council and a trustee of a local charity.

Michael Rouse
Michael Rouse was born in Ely and is the longest serving member of the council having first been elected when the City Council was formed in 1974. He served as Mayor from 1976-77.

Alison Whelan
Alison moved to the district in 2000 from Norwich. She lives with her partner and has 3 children, one of school age who goes to school locally.

Edward Carlsson Browne
Edward was elected as a Labour Councillor for Ely North in the 2019 elections. He lives in the north of Ely with his wife and their pet ferrets.

Ian Lindsay Cathedral Ward
Ian has been on the City of Ely Council since May 2014 and served as Chair to the Council and Mayor of the City of Ely from 2016 to May 2017.
